Lost Ruins|Cave Interior - Unreal Engine 4

Realtime game environment made in Unreal Engine 4.

This is the continuation of the Lost Ruins|Cave Exterior artwork. My main goal with this project was to practice and improve scene composition, environment art, lighting composition and level art.

Initially, the scene was only focused on the Atlas giant statue area, but then I wanted to give more context and some kind of environment storytelling to the scene by expanding the size of the level and different rooms with their unique storytelling and composition. I was inspired mostly by the art from tomb raider games and some art from Mortal Shells.

Every asset was produced from scratch through the full pipeline: blockout and retopology in Maya, high-poly sculpting in ZBrush, baking and texturing in Substance Designer and Painter, with final lighting and post-process built inside Unreal Engine 4.
